About Us

Knotty Timbers Custom Woodwork was founded in January of 2018. Located in Amherstburg ON, Knotty Timbers serves all of Windsor-Essex County. Our philosophy is simple: provide value and customer service. Our primary goal is to build or teach you exactly what you want, and to have it last you a lifetime.

As a local business, we strongly believe in supporting local. Wherever possible we buy Canadian made supplies and tooling from local suppliers.

As much as possible we make the components required for your project in house. Starting with rough lumber we mill and dimension it to size. We make our own trim, doors, spindles, knobs, wooden drawer slides, metal legs and even custom brackets. When everything is designed and built under one roof it gives you absolute control of how your project turns out.

We will be adding DIY classes and lessons to our services soon. If you’d like to learn how to safely use a certain tool, or maybe how to refinish wood or turn a pen, sign up for our e-mails and we will keep you posted!
